Tanger
The Steven Tanger Center for Performing Arts, located in downtown Greensboro, is a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of approximately 3,000. Offering Broadway shows, event space, and catering – this venue is a show stopper!
Carolina Theater
Billed as the Showplace of the Carolinas when it opened in 1927, downtown Greensboro’s original performing arts center is home to concerts from artists across all genres, classic and independent movies, community theater, and dance, as well as local performances in the third-floor loft theater, The Crown.
Triad Stage
Named “One of the Best Regional Theaters in America” by New York’s Drama League and “Professional Theatre of the Year” by the North Carolina Theatre Conference, Triad Stage is a non-profit professional regional theater that lives up to its motto, “Nationally Recognized, Locally Produced.”

Weatherspoon Art Museum
UNCG’s Weatherspoon Art Museum has built a permanent collection of modern and contemporary American art that includes works by Warhol, Matisse and Picasso, and is considered one of the best in the Southeast.
Casa Azul of Greensboro
Inspired by the home of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera in Mexico City, Casa Azul organizes and participates in programming focused on building an understanding of the diverse Latino community in the Triad through art-based education and cultural activities.
Culture Arts Center

Civil Rights Museum
The International Civil Rights Center & Museum is an archival center, collecting museum and teaching facility devoted to the international struggle for civil and human rights. The Museum celebrates the nonviolent protests of the 1960 Greensboro sit-ins that served as a catalyst in the civil rights movement.
GSO History Museum
The Greensboro History Museum – an AAM-accredited Smithsonian Affiliate – is a division of the City of Greensboro Library Department and operates as a public-private partnership with the nonprofit GHM Inc. In partnership with the community, the Greensboro History Museum collects the city’s diverse history and connects people to that history and one another through engaging exhibits, educational programs, and community dialogue.
Elsewhere
Elsewhere, a museum and artist residency set inside a former thrift store in downtown Greensboro, received an Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in early 2019.
Scuppernong Books
Named one of the South’s Best Bookstores by Southern Living magazine, Scuppernong Books is an independent bookseller in downtown Greensboro, and is home to Greensboro Bound: A Literary Festival.
The Greensboro Coliseum
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is one of the most actively booked venues in the country, with eight event spaces including an amphitheater, aquatic center, banquet hall, convention center, museum, theatre, indoor pavilion and an arena with more seats than Madison Square Garden!
NC Folk Festival
After three successful years of hosting the National Folk Festival, Greensboro became home to the North Carolina Folk Festival in 2018.
